-I’m new here, What is Guppy?

Guppy is an app that redefines the essence of community and compassion in the digital space. At the heart of our platform lies a revolutionary feature that seamlessly combines the act of subscription with the spirit of philanthropy. The app is a content sharing platform where users can pay a monthly subscription fee to one another and in exchange, unlock exclusive content. Furthermore, users can send a portion of their collected earnings to a charity of their choice.

-Who is it for?

Guppy can be beneficial to a diverse group, including content creators, artists, businesses, communities, and their supporters.

It’s designed for those who value each other and want to see each other grow through a give and receive that goes beyond the tangible – one where we can feel the priceless satisfaction of making a difference.

We aspire to offer our users a one-of-a-kind platform that facilitates intimate, meaningful connections, fostering a sense of purpose in giving back to one another and to communities.

-How does it work?

Start by discovering and join or subscribe to your favorite people to receive their latest content directly on your home feed. You can also share your own content, deciding whether each post is public or exclusive. Exclusive, or 'locked', content remains blurred and accessible only to subscribers for 30 days. Subscribers can contribute a monthly fee starting at $1 to access these posts, engage with them, and comment. Moreover, creators have the option to support a charity of their choice by donating a portion of their subscription earnings.

-What types of content can be shared on Guppy?

The platform supports a variety of content formats, including images, videos, audio clips, and text. Videos and audio clips are limited to 30 seconds, and text posts can contain up to 500 words.

-What is the age requirement for Guppy?

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account with Guppy.

-Where can I download the app?

The app is available for free on the App Store and Google play store. Simply search for “Guppy Feed and be Fed”.

-Is Guppy available on the web?

As of now, Guppy is exclusively an app-based platform. However, we're looking forward to developing a web version in the near future!

COMMON TERMS USED ON GUPPY

  • TANK: The term "tank" refers to a user's account. The individual who owns the account is known as the tank owner.

  • GUPPIES: Guppies are the members of your fanbase who opt to join your tank, which allows them to view your public and/or locked content.

  • JOIN: To join is to become a part of a user's fanbase by entering their tank, which provides access to their public content.

  • SUPPORT and SUBSCRIBE: Subscribing to a tank involves giving COINS, which is a contribution of your choosing with a minimum of $1. Upon giving coins, you become a subscriber and gain monthly access to the tank's locked content. As a subscriber, you can also view other subscribers, as well as read and comment on exclusive locked posts. A portion of your donation is allocated to a charity selected by the tank owner. The charity's information and the percentage of donations pledged can be found on the owner's profile.

  • NOM: The term "nom" is used when a subscribed guppy taps and opens a locked post. It symbolizes the act of consuming and engaging with content and aligns with our ethos of "Feed and be Fed."

  • TANK BANK: The Tank Bank is where you can track your earnings from monthly subscriptions and donations. It displays your current coin balance versus the coins available to be redeemed. Additionally, you can view and print past receipts detailing your charitable contributions and the charities you have supported.
